“ Feb. 14 , 2024. Was busier than normal. Waited about 15 min to sit. It was lunchtime. Not bad at all. Food was very good. We got the buffet. Very fresh and hot. Wings were excellent ! Service was exceptional. Smiles everywhere. WILL BE BACK !! ”

“ I often used to frequent the diplomat prior to the pandemic for their Delmonico Ribeye, which was the absolute best steak I'd ever eaten in my life. I was devastated when it was no longer on the menu... However today I went to the diplomat for a different reason and they went above and beyond with the quality and service. I'm very sick and hot and sour soup is basically magic in a bowl when it comes to feeling better. I called every Asian restaurant in the city and finally found that the Diplomat had it!! A giant liter of soup for 10 dollars plus taxes. I wore a mask and gloves to pick it up and they were so kind and quick with the service, telling me they hoped I feel better soon. The first bite had me instantly feeling better and I won't be going anywhere else for soup when I'm sick now! ”

“ After seeing good online reviews, I came to this restaurant to eat. However, it turned out to be a Canadian-style Chinese restaurant with sweet-flavored food. Almost all the dishes and sauces were either sweet or sour. The mussels were dry, and the fried chicken wings were also very dry. Overall, the buffet had average flavor, limited variety, but the service was fine. ”

“ We had a lovely time. The food tasted delicious the only reason I am giving it a 4 is because the choice at the buffet was smaller than we expected. However, it was delicious food! Our server was very sweet and friendly. We are looking forward to coming back again! ”

“ Friendly staff and a lot of variety. They have an all day breakfast option, large lunch and dinner menu and a buffet option. The food itself could have been a bit more flavourful compared to some of the other Chinese food spots around town. The price is also pretty average for the city. We had the buffet option and so got to sample much of the different dishes. Everything was cooked well and for $33 it's worth it, if like me, you eat a lot. Nice desserts too. ”

“ The diplomat has been around for a long time and we used to eat there all hours of the day and night. They’ve been in their new location for a number of years and it is a main stay in Fredericton. We just learned a very important way of ordering. Instead of getting the buffet order the meal for two and you’ll have more food that will last you for two or three more meals aside from the dining out experience. . Matter of fact, the server suggested that the meal for two would serve all four of us and he was right. We could’ve just supplemented with a couple of eggrolls in addition as per his suggestion. ”
